About

The 63rd Bristol Scouts.

We're a Scout Group serving St Andrews and the surrounding area in Bristol. Over 100 years of history, more than 300 young people on our books and 30+ volunteers running our weekly programme.

Who we are

The 63rd Bristol Scout Group is one of the largest and most active Scout Groups in the UK. We run three sections each week during term time: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We’re a registered charity (number 302164) and part of The Scouts Association.

For the young people of St Andrews and the surrounding area, the 63rd is a place away from school and home where they make friends across year groups and try things they might not otherwise get to.

What we offer

Each week the sections run games, activities and challenges. Across the year that builds into camps, hikes, watersports, badges and expeditions.

Sessions are led by trained adult volunteers. Every leader and helper is DBS-checked and follows the Scouts’ safeguarding framework.

Our values

We share the values of UK Scouts: Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Cooperation.

The new building

We’re working towards a second hut on the same site, so the Group can run from buildings we own instead of renting space week to week. Read about the project.
