About

The 63rd Bristol Scouts.

We are a Scout Group serving St Andrews and the surrounding area in Bristol. Over 100 years of history, more than 300 young people on our books and a team of 30 plus volunteers running our weekly programme.

Who we are

The 63rd Bristol Scout Group is one of the largest and most active Scout Groups in the UK. We run three sections each week during term time: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We are a registered charity (number 302164) and part of The Scouts Association.

We are a third place for the young people of St Andrews and the surrounding area. Somewhere that isn't school or home. Somewhere they are seen, heard and accepted for who they are, alongside trusted adults. A place to do your best, not be the best.

What we offer

A weekly programme of fun, friendship, adventure, teamwork and helping others. Camps, hikes, watersports, badges, expeditions and the everyday business of looking out for each other.

Sessions are led by trained adult volunteers. Every leader and helper is DBS-checked and follows the Scouts safeguarding framework.

Our values

We share the values of UK Scouts: Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Cooperation. We pass them on, one generation to the next.

Our team

Trustees, Group Lead Volunteer and section leadership team to be added before launch (with photos and consent).

The new building

We have provisional planning approval for a second hut, which would let us run sustainably from buildings we own and improve as a community asset, instead of relying on rented space. Read about the project.
