Safeguarding

Safeguarding.

Keeping children and young people safe is the first responsibility of everyone in the 63rd Bristol Scouts. We follow the safeguarding policy and procedures set by The Scouts Association.

Our framework

The 63rd Bristol Scouts follows the safeguarding policy and procedures set by The Scouts Association, which all volunteers agree to and work within.

Read the Scouts safeguarding policy and procedures.

Our people

  • Every adult volunteer in a regulated role is DBS-checked.
  • All adult volunteers complete the Scouts mandatory safeguarding training, refreshed at the cadence Scouts requires.
  • The Trustee Board has named oversight of safeguarding at Group level.
