8 to 10 and a half years
Cubs
Camps, hikes and badges for 8 to 10s, working in small teams and taking on more as they go.
What a typical evening looks like
Cub Pack nights are 90 minutes and a step up from Beavers. We work in sixes (small teams), tackle a couple of activities together, run a wide game and finish with parade. Across a term you’ll see camp prep, knot work, cooking, navigation and first aid.
What Cubs do
- Camps and sleepovers, including pack holidays away
- Hill walks, cycling, fire-lighting, navigation
- Badges across activities, the world and skills
- Lead a six (a small team) and help younger Cubs settle in
Meeting time and place
Cubs meet at the Scout Hut on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting at 6.15pm.
Uniform: Cubs wear a green jumper and a 63rd Bristol scarf. Scarves are issued at investiture; jumpers are available from the Scout Store.
Joining Cubs
