A place to belong, every week, on your doorstep.
The 63rd Bristol Scouts is a third place for young people in St Andrews and the surrounding area in Bristol: somewhere that isn't school or home, where they can be themselves alongside trusted adults. Over 300 young people, more than 30 volunteers, three sections, every week.
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Three age groups, each with its own pack, leaders and weekly programme. Tap a section to find meeting times, leader contacts and what a typical evening looks like.
Beavers
Friendship, fun and learning by doing. Crafts, games, simple challenges and the occasional sleepover.
Cubs
A bigger world. Camps, hikes, badges, teamwork. Cubs is where the appetite for adventure really takes off.
Scouts
Independence, skills and proper expeditions. Kayaking, climbing, hikes, camps and leading younger members.
We're recruiting our next Group Lead Volunteer.
Mike Evans is stepping back to focus on Scouting delivery with the young people. We're looking for our next Group Lead Volunteer to lead the adult team. Think people person more than outdoor expert. Prior Scouting experience is not required.
Scouting sustainably, in our own buildings.
We have provisional planning approval for a second hut, so the Group can run sustainably from buildings we own and improve as a community asset, instead of relying on space we have to rent.
100+ years of Scouting in St Andrews.
We have been running weekly Scouting from St Bartholomews Road for over a century. Generations of local families have learned to camp, kayak, cook, lead and look out for each other through the 63rd. A community of kindness, where fun and friendship run through everything.
